At Torquay Boys鈥� Grammar School we are more than a powerful academic institution with a reputation for top quality examination results. We believe 鈥楨ducation鈥� to mean far more than achieving a string of top grades in public examinations; indeed that is a given for our students, so we also offer a comprehensive range of sporting, musical and cultural pursuits with an outstanding record of success unsurpassed in the South West.
Our facilities are of a very high quality and provide a wonderful setting for our students to learn. Our school mantra has long been to maintain the best of the old and combine it with the best of the new; academic excellence, punctuality, smartness and courtesy combined with a curriculum appropriate to developing students鈥� skills to equip them for lifelong learning and their future careers.
According to Ofsted, Torquay Boys鈥� Grammar School is in every respect an outstanding school. In teaching, learning, achievements, standards, in pastoral care, sport, extra-curricular activities, buildings and resources the school is acknowledged to excel. The Inspectors wrote: 鈥淭he school is enthused with a lively and open atmosphere which encourages innovation and underpins a relentless drive to provide the very best education for the student鈥�.
